where Thorntons would like to develop a franchise. The list is not
exhaustive, if you know of a town or area that doesn’t have a
Thorntons store or franchise and it isn’t on the list please
do not discount it, simply get in contact with Thorntons to
discuss.
When considering a town and location please consider the following
points:
The Location
Ideally it needs to be in a busy location; for example a high
street or shopping centre where there is defiantly lots of foot
fall.
Where there are lots of high street brands.
The Property
The overall size of the unit is ideally 1000sq ft.
You need to allow for a sizeable stock room
Water and electrical supply on ground floor
The sales floor needs to be level in order to comply with DDA
requirements 1.
The Lease should be for a minimum of 10 years. This allows the
Thorntons Franchise a chance to establish itself and go from
strength to strength. We are opening the Franchise to stay in a
position rather than searching a quick result.
